GE Healthcare said Wednesday that it plans to present various new technologies, including the new life-size model of Signa Architect 3.0T, to help radiologists conduct clinical trials and hospitals run their institutions more efficiently.

Signa Architect 3.0T is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment that digitizes inputs from each of 128 radio frequency (RF) channels. It uses coils with a high number of channels to obtain high-resolution images and has a compressed sensing function that enables quick inspection without loss of image quality. Such functions allow a 30 percent faster examination of the head, neck, abdomen, musculoskeletal system and vertebrae.

The machine also has a “fast brain” function, which combines advanced function tests, such as 48 brain coil RF channels, compressed sensing and HyperBand. The feature allows diffusion-weighted imaging, vascular imaging and basic MR imaging in less than two minutes and it is expected to be useful for emergency patients. It also has a silent scan mode, which allows the patient to get comfortable with the MR noise.

The company also displayed other various radiology technologies, including LogiQ series a general imaging equipment, Invenia ABUS an ultrasonic breast equipment and Revolution CT a Computed tomography

The company _{GE 헬스케어} will unveil its equipment and hold related symposiums during the 2017 Korean Congress of Radiology _{대한영상의학회 학술대회}, which will run through Saturday at COEX, southern Seoul.​
