I sincerely congratulate the launch of English newspaper Korea Biomedical Review (KBR) for foreign readers, by the Korean Doctors’ Weekly which has provided lots of news and policy suggestions for the development of Korea’s medical industry.

I am very proud of Korea’s 130-year-long medical services and infrastructure, which have reached a global level. But many foreign countries still do not know the superiority of the Korean healthcare system. One of the reasons is the absence of a global specialized media outlet that can inform the world of the Korean healthcare industry’s present and future potentials.

I expect KBR to provide a new opportunity for foreign patients who plan to visit Korea seeking advanced services in medical checkups and treatments. Also, it can serve as a liaison to connect Korean and international medical institutions for mutual exchanges and cooperation.

Once again, I congratulate the debut of KBR and expect it to grow to represent the Korean medical sector in the future.
