The Korea Medical Devices Industrial Cooperation Association (KMDICA) said Thursday that 20 domestic medical equipment makers attended Medical Fair India (MFI) 2018 held at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Center.

According to KMDICA, Korea sent the third-largest delegation to the exhibition after India (249 participants) and China (227 participants). Companies such as DRGEM, Poskom, DS Maref and Ace Medical displayed their products during the conference.

Regarding deals made at the conference, Poskom managed to sign a $200,000 contract during the fair, while the other participants also achieved excellent results and confirmed their potential in India.

“India has made tremendous progress compared with 10 years ago, and now, with rapid development, it is the right time for Korean companies to market their products in the country aggressively,” said a company official who took part in the MFI.

MFI is the most extensive medical equipment exhibition in India. This year, 553 companies from 21 countries participated in the fair, which drew more than 10,000 visitors.
