Korea’s leading healthcare companies and buyers around the world will gather at a healthcare exhibition in Korea this autumn.

The Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) and Lync Factory said they would hold “2018 KINTEX Digital Healthcare Fair” at the KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, from Sept. 13-16.

The event will focus on four areas – diagnosis, care, treatment, and new medicine/new technology – in the form of business-to-business or business-to-consumer. Exhibitors will also cover beauty/skin care, sports/fitness, and health/functional foods.

In particular, the exhibition will offer opportunities for local firms to talk with overseas buyers to export their goods. The Korea Home Shopping and Distribution Association will also promote various healthcare products during the event.

Prospective local companies will have opportunities to hold one-on-one business consultations with matching buyers, receive support for advisory and consulting, and get to have a corporate tour at the buyer firm.

Organizers of the event said they had invited importers and distributors of healthcare equipment from six countries, including China, Japan, and Hong Kong, as well as ICT solution providers and buyers specializing in investment and online shopping malls. A Silicon Valley firm iHealthLabs, which has a partnership with Xiaomi, and China’s TV shopping channel operator Global Home Shopping will also attend the fair.

“Many foreign buyers have shown great interest in the Digital Healthcare Fair,” said Yang Hyo-shin, CEO of event organizer Trade Community, who is in charge of inviting international buyers. “I hope they will participate in the fair so that they can discover excellent companies in Korea, invest in them, and actively support sourcing.”

Companies with related products and technologies can apply for participation through the homepage at www.digitalhealthcarefair.com until Aug. 31.
