Severance Hospital said Monday that it has launched Selvy MediVoice, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based recording system to maximize therapeutic effect and improve medical service quality.

Developed by Selvas AI, the platform is artificial intelligence (AI) -based voice recording and documentation service, which records physicians’ deciphering references in real time and translates them into a text format.

The hospital expects the new solution will help reduce the waiting period for medical image information, such as X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT), which are rapidly increasing every year.

“Until now, doctors had to confirm the recordings typed by a transcriber or had to type in the recordings personally,” said Professor Kim Eun-kyung of the department of radiology at the hospital. “We will try to utilize artificial intelligence services to give feedback to patients waiting for test result and treat them more quickly.”

Selvas AI CEO James Kim said, “We hope that Selvy MediVoice will help improve the treatment efficiency of Severance Hospital staff.”
