Rayence said Friday that Med Tech Outlook, a U.S.-based healthcare device magazine, has selected the company in its top-10 medical imaging solution company list.

After launching its business in the U.S. in 2010, Rayence is the only Korean company to pursue the U.S. market with both CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) and TFT (thin film transistor) detector lines.

Medtech said in its December issue that it selected 10 companies that have improved diagnostic accuracy with the latest technology in the imaging solution sector this year. Executives and analysts at leading imaging centers and healthcare institutions in America participated in choosing the list, the magazine said.

The list includes leading global healthcare imaging companies, including Merry X-Ray, the largest imaging solution distributor in the U.S and Olympus. Rayence was the only Korean company on the list.

According to the company, Medtech praised the company as stepping up the accuracy of diagnostics. In particular, Medtech said that its unique scintillator technology improved image resolution and contrast.

The company plans to continue to market its product in the U.S. market next year.
