"The alliance is aimed to bolster the localization of services to maintain our top spot in the Chinese dental x-ray diagnostic equipment market," the company said. The company signed both contracts during the Dental Show West China 2019 held in Chengdu in April.

The company signed its first agreement with Xinqiao Stomatology, which is the largest dental chain store in Sichuan.

Under the contract, the two companies will enhance Vatech's product education and increase brand awareness. Xinqiao Stomatology intends to open a training space dedicated to Vatech while strengthening its brand and expanding customer service through regular coaching and effective marketing. Vatech plans to expand expanding its contract with local chain stores in various regions in China.

Vatech also signed a partnership agreement with Huaguang, a large local dental distribution agency, to enhance customer service for its product. To expedite the coverage of the broader continent of China, the company plans to reduce the response time by arranging customer service platforms drastically, it said.

At a news conference, the company released its exclusive Chinese brand "iyou" and its brand character “yoyo.” It decided to go with a Chinese brand name to make customers feel a connection with the company's product.

Vatech said it is building quality and competitive leadership in the dental x-ray diagnostic equipment market in China. The company is dominating the 2D panorama equipment market, while its 3D cone beam computed tomography device had been gaining popularity since its launch last year. Thanks to such efforts, 52 percent of the company's sales came from China last year, while the company expects that the number will continue to rise this year.

"Vatech has been focusing on promoting its brand for more than 10 years after establishing its subsidiary in China in 2006," Vatech China CEO Noh Hyo-jun said. "Our hard effort has led to the company’s receiving the highest quality rating and achieving the top spot in the 2D panorama equipment market."

The company plans to firmly establish the first place in the Chinese dental X-ray market through localizing and strengthening customer services, Noh added.
