The National Cancer Center has entered a partnership agreement with Istituto Nazionale Tumori IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale, an Italian center focusing on oncology, to cooperate on cancer research.

During the signing ceremony, both institutions exchanged views on common areas of interest, such as immune cell therapy and cancer protein genomics, and looked at the possibilities for joint cancer research.

Under the accord, the two will cooperate in developing joint education programs, researching therapeutic technology, promoting of human exchange, and holding academic events.

“As the two organizations are national cancer organizations representing their country, we hope to continue the mutual development relationship as a partner in opening a new horizon for cancer treatment,” NCC President Lee Eun-sook said.

Attilion Bianchi, general director of Istituto Nazionale Tumori IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale, also said, “The areas of cooperation between the two organizations seem to be endless. We will share the results of cancer research and expand the agenda for collaboration so that we can achieve synergy.”
