Theragen ETEX said that it is participating in the annual European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) annual meeting in Sweden to promote its technology and sign new contracts.

The company has set up exhibition booths at the event site and is promoting next-generation sequence technology and new services to various institutions attending the conference. Such efforts include its sales promotion for NovaSeq6000, the company’s latest genome analysis equipment, in the field of full genome, exome, and RNA sequencing.

The company expects to make significant achievements at the conference as Nordic countries are one of the most prominent nations in the field of genomics. Many of the states are actively conducting researches such as the government-led large-scale genome-wide big data platform construction.

"European researchers have shown great interest in our genome decode and bioinformatics technologies," a company official said. "We will try to attract new overseas customers at the event."

The ESHG conference, held every year in Europe since 1967, is one of the world's three major genomic events. This year the meeting is held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 15-18, with more than 200 companies and 3,000 researchers attending.
