Genematrix said that it has received the Conformite Europeenne (CE) Mark for Neoplex RV-Panel A, a respiratory disease virus detection kit.

The kit can detect 10 major respiratory viral pathogens, including swine flu, influenza A, influenza B, respiratory syncytial virus type A and B, parainfluenza type 1, 2, and 3, and adenoviruses. The kit can detect all 10 pathogens with a single test.

“Neoplex is Genematrix’s main pipeline, along with Omniplex,” the company said. “By applying the company’s C-Tag molecular diagnostic source technology, it is possible to diagnose various pathogens with single test collectively.”

With the CE certification for Neoplex RV-Panel A, the company now owns three CE certifications for its products, including Neoplex Flu/RSV and Neoplex Bacterial Panel RB-8.

“Neoplex products received great attention thanks to their significant improvement in multiple analysis performance, during the 2019 MEDICA Medical Device Show in Germany,” a company official said. “As there are only a few numbers of respiratory molecular diagnostics with multiple analysis functions in development, we expect to take up a large share in the local and overseas market.”

The company is working hard to obtain additional licenses for respiratory disease virus detection kit this year, he added.
